Sports sponsorships are such integral components to sporting events around the world. With companies committing a specified amount of money to professional teams, they’re looking for increased awareness of their company along with brand building in return.
And for the Sacramento Kings, the NBA franchise has secured a record number of sports sponsorships for the 2012-13 campaign — almost 50 to be exact.
“On behalf of the Sacramento Kings, we are excited to welcome back nearly 50 proud Kings Partners – in addition to a number of new partnerships,” said Kings President of Business Operations Matina Kolokotronis in a press release. “From local to international corporations, our organization is committed to helping our new and existing partners thrive through innovative and strategic sponsorships.”
The Kings sports sponsorships — which are headlined by Verizon Wireless and Walmart — also welcome back the very well-known organizations of PepsiCo, Ernst & Young, Subway, AT&T, and Bank of America. They’re a part of the largest class of sponsors in the Kings’ 27-year history.
