Small businesses everywhere are owned and operated by passionate people that have turned what they love into a job. Intuit is here to give a small business the big spotlight.
Intuit values small business
A few months ago, Intuit announced its contest “Small Business Big Game.” Small businesses everywhere were given the opportunity to tell their stories. They were then able to share their stories on www.smallbusinessbiggame.com in order to earn as many votes as possible.
In an effort to recognize how much of an impact these small businesses can make, Intuit has released a video of William “Bill” Rancic dropping in on a small business owned by a Mother and Son team. Bill Rancic is a best selling author and was the first candidate hired in Donald Trump’s reality television show: “The Apprentice”.
After ordering a gift basket at Elevenzees, Bill decides to purchase 150 of the custom baskets to show his gratitude to the company. The purchase was huge, but in a statement just as big, the baskets were donated to Bright Pink, a non-profit organization focused on the risk reduction and early detections of breast and ovarian cancer in young women.
As you can see, small businesses everywhere are doing great things and should be rewarded for it.
Small Business Big Game
Round two of the contest involved small businesses promoting and enhancing their stories by completing various activities. The public voted and the field has been narrowed down to a group of semi-finalists.
These businesses have the chance of a lifetime thanks to Intuit. The winning company will receive a 30-second television spot that will air during the third quarter of this season’s Super Bowl, set to take place on February 14, 2014. Intuit says it best:
“Small businesses drive our economy, but rarely stand in the national spotlight. Small Business Big Game is one way Intuit is giving small businesses a voice and a chance to be admired as much as they deserve.”
Semi-finalists will be reviewed and narrowed down to four finalists by Intuit employee votes. November is just around the corner, which means the world will vote on these four finalists to decide the winner of the contest.
