The NCAA athletic community knows the University of Oregon as the school with the latest inovations in its jersey designs, especially pertaining to football. Now, though, the Ducks might better be known as the first University to launch a social media hub — the #QuackCave — to monitor its athletics.
With a handful of flat screens controlled by iPads and wireless keyboards, the social media command center will help monitor, create, and push content across all of Oregon’s general and sports-specific social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and others.
“We want to be able to engage with our fans at an unparalleled level and monitor what is one of the top brands in college athletics,” said Craig Pintens, UO senior associate athletic director, on GoDucks.com.“But the most exciting part of the QuackCave is collaborating with University of Oregon students, where we can provide real-world experience with a top brand in a burgeoning area of public relations.”

@L7Weenie8 it is totally awesome! Such a simple idea..a little hub where employees can use social media for their teams. Wish CU had one.
