Here’s How You Get Paid!
Alright….let’s get into the good stuff! How are you actually going to make MONEY as a Feature Columnist on SportsNetworker.com?
Well, it’s really quite simple. We use an industry leading Marketing Automation tool called Infusionsoft to manage our Referral Partner Program. So, every time we include your Tracking Link on the articles you write for SportsNetworker.com to promote one of our Products, we can track the amount of clicks, leads and sales that occur and allocate the appropriate commissions to you.
How Much Do You Get Paid?
Although it may vary depending on the Product sold, our standard commission rate for the Feature Columnist – Referral Partner Program is 20% of the sale price. Here’s an example to help you understand how the commission payout would work:
- Sale Price = $497
- 20% Referral Partner Commission = $99.40

When Do You Get Paid?
Your commissions will be totaled and paid out on a monthly basis (after our 30 day guarantee date has passed).
You must reach at least $100 total commissions payable in a given month in order to qualify for a commission payout. And, once you’ve hit $600 in commissions paid in a calendar year, we will send you a W-9 Form for complete and return for tax purposes (US based Feature Columnist – Referral Partners only).

How Do We Track Your Leads/Sales/Commissions?
Now, this might seem complicated, but it’s really quite simple. Basically, when someone clicks on a banner or fills out a form that includes your Tracking Link, Infusionsoft starts tracking a referral from the time that person clicks on the tracking link, even if the referral takes no immediate action to sign up through a web form or make a purchase.
When the referral clicks on the tracking link, a cookie is stored on their computer. This cookie tracks the referral as long as it remains on their computer. If the referral returns to a sign up web page or online store and takes action later, there is a good chance the referral will be tracked back to your Tracking Link (assuming that lead did not click on another Tracking Link after clicking on yours).
How Do The Browser Cookies Work?
We have set the browser cookie feature to “unlimited” time on our Referral Partner Program. What this means is that when someone clicks on your Tracking Link, it is remembered in their browser indefinitely (as long as that person does not delete their own browser cookies manually or clicks on another Tracking Link associated to a different Referral Partner before making a purchase).
If you are interested…..here is the “technical definition” of how a browser cookie works: “A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a user’s web browser while a user is browsing a website. When the user browses the same website in the future, the data stored in the cookie can be retrieved by the website to notify the website of the user’s previous activity.”
Who Gets Credit For A Sale If The Same Lead Exists In Multiple Lists?
We have quite a large network of people in our own Sports Networker database. However, in no way does that mean you will not be able to earn commissions from a customer that is already in our database.
We have setup our Tracking Link system so that the LATEST REFERRING link that a customer uses before making their purchase, will be credited for the sale. We do this because even though that lead may have already been captured in our database, it was your article and/or promotional efforts that ended up resulting in that customer taking action and making a purchase…..and we want to ensure that you are credited for the effort you are making to help us convert those customers!
